Seattle Day 3

August 24-31, 2021

Day three started with one of Seattle’s highlights: MoPOP (Museum of Pop Culture). This was founded in 2000 and has a variety of rotating and permanent exhibits. Two of their permanent exhibits that I particularly liked were Stonewall & the LGBTQ* rights movement and Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses.

After this, I took my first of a few visits to Pike Place Market, which is a historic district of over 500 shops and restaurants dating back to 1907.

One particularly historic site in Pike Place Market is the world’s first Starbucks. Of course I had to stop in for a peek.

I walked around the market for a bit longer (getting lost a few times in the midst of it) and then headed back to Erik’s house to settle in for the evening.
